Hope to take my black belt second dan next month and then start training to become a personal trainer. Still managing my eight miles a day and back to the gym five days a week for the last two weeks.my body must have found it's natural weight as I have not lost this month but on the upside I havnt put any weight on. I work hard to stick to the way of eating taught to me by Alex during my twelve week plan.physically I feel great however not so good news from my recent oncology appointment, most of you know I underwent major surgery two years ago unfortunately I am starting round two with the big ' c'and have a six month treatment plan ahead. As before I am not going to let this beat me with everything I have learnt in the last twelve months I am going to continue to train hard eat healthily and fight this all the way.starting with a break for me Tina and the boys then it's down to some hard work. With the help of all my family and friends i know i can kick its ass! Plus thanks to those friends and family i am in much better shape second time round to do it Will keep you all updated in September cheers for reading gaz

July update to my 12 week plan
hi everyone here is the latest monthly update to the plan
I am pleased to tell you all that the weight loss is still continuing, not as fast but still on the decrease 4and a 1/2 pounds since the last update, i am very pleased with that as i have already achieved my goal so any thing more is a complete bonus
I no longer think as if i am on a diet to me now its just a complete new eating regime and seem to know instinctively when to eat and how much i no longer need to count calories and check portion sizes etc it all seems to come naturally
Exercise wise i have had a bloody nightmare of a month it seems at the minute i just get over one injury only to get another one and they seem to get worse each time, the good part of it is that no matter what the injury i seem to be able to work around it so that keeps me from going mad and getting frustrated, was hoping to get back to the gym this week but my hamstring is still very tight so will give it another week or so before pushing my luck,
Headed over to Warwick to CV34 to help celebrate the studio's first birthday it was great to catch up with everyone and listen to more great success stories on Alex's famous12 week plan, and let me tell you there have been some fantastic achievements to say the least and the studio walls are filling up fast with before and after pictures of all the great successes
Another thing i have learnt to get on top of is the way i am learning to deal with trials and tribulations had a disturbing time with hospital results last week not going exactly to plan, but already feeling upbeat and going to deal with this positively and not let things get me down, its merely a set back and another hurdle to get over, could do without it but couldn't we all lol cheers Garry
ps
Didn't like not being recognised at the studio, hardly anyone noticed i was there i found i had to introduce myself to nearly everyone before they knew who i was lol i suppose i should have been flattered as it was because i had dropped nearly 2 more stone since they last saw me

june update to the plan
Hello everyone here is the latest update to my plan
As you were aware in last months update i fractured a rib and am pleased to say its on the mend finally, although i have not done any weights or attended the gym in the last month, so as you can imagine its so frustrating for me and had to change my whole routine.
I managed to start training this weekend at the black belt course and done really well considering,
I did sit out for the last half hour or so as i felt a twinge so urged on the side of caution as i wanted to attend masterclass on Sunday, and i can say i managed to finish that without to many problems so well chuffed
With every thing going on i walked 4 miles twice a day and really concentrated on the diet, and can say i still lost 5 pounds in the last month and am well chuffed as this got me past my goal, seems along time coming and in a way a little disappointing, not because I'm unhappy with the loss but because it feels like its all come to an end and what am i going to do with myself now!!
The way ahead for me now is to carry on with my daily routine and am going back to the gym tomorrow, still not ready for heavy weights yet but will get started on the cross trainers and rowers etc
I no longer consider myself on a diet anymore but a new way of life and if the weight still drops it will be because it needs to and i figure it will find its own natural way of doing so.
Have to say i have still a keen interest in all doing the 12 week plans and am very impressed and think there will some fantastic results very soon, so a very well done to you all,
Alex your still doing the business mate keep up the good work and will hopefully get up and have that training session with you shortly all being well.
Thanks for reading and leave a comment if you can thanks Gaz

Monthly update 9th May 2011
Hi All
A month has passed since my last update so thought i would fill you in on the months events. Usual ups and downs, my weight is still coming off nicely, on average 2 pounds per week. I still manage to get to the gym on average 6 times a week and enjoy my 4 mile power walk every morning.
Still struggling with my arm and managed to sustain a fracture to my ribcage this weekend during Geoff Thompson's class on Saturday. Anyone who has ever had this type of injury will know how painful it is. I had to sit out of Master Class on Sunday and just sit and listen which was very frustrating as i like to get stuck in. Unfortunately i was hardly a able to breathe let alone anything else on Sunday.
I am not looking forward to the next few weeks, going to find it difficult to train, i manage a 4 mile power walk with Tina today even though it was slower than usual so i will have to concentrate on that for the next few weeks, might up it to 2 -3 times a day till i can get to the gym.
At the hospital this morning for an ultra sound, had a lump on my shoulder for sometime so eventually went to have it checked out, and wish i hadn't, doctors said it don't look 'good' so have to practice patience and wait to have it removed.
Tina has taken some new photos for you all to look at and she assures me they are a massive change from post 12 week plan, she may however have a hidden agenda as she loves me lol.
Well done to Alex and CV34 yesterday for their fundraising walk up Snowden, and also a huge well done to all CV34 clients and their 12 week plans i am an avid watcher of every ones plans.
Thank you all once again for taking the time to read and please feel free to leave your comments, cheers Gaz.

Latest update on the 12 week plan 4th april 2011
Diary
Hi All, think its been over a month maybe since i last updated my blog, and what a busy few weeks its been. Its had its highs and its lows and i am still battling with my own personal demons and anxieties. Visits to the Oncologist for regular blood tests and dealing with tribunals has taken its toll HOWEVER you will all be glad to hear (especially Alex LOL) i still have the fitness bug, my wife says i am a cross between Gillian Mckeith and Alex Myers. I train seven days a week; six days a week this consists of a 4 mile power walk in the morning followed by 1.5 hr session at my local gym, this varies between CV work, weights and bag work, i have a right little routine set up. Then one day a week i just do my walking as i go over to CV34 on a Sunday morning and do a class with Louis Thompson. Also black belt and master class courses with Geoff Thompson once a month.
My food diary is still regimented i rigidly stick to 2 hourly eating, once a week i have my treat of tandoori chicken, if we go out visiting my wife packs me up with fruit/nuts so that i stick to my routine. I have lost over 1/2 stone in the last 4 weeks and another 1.5 inches from my waist, so still averaging 2lb a week weight loss.
I have thoroughly enjoyed following Louise's 12 week plan and so proud of all she has achieved and continue to follow all of CV34's clients. The 12 week plan has given me a focus which has helped me more than i can ever say, and what i have learnt continues to spur me on to continue with the results already achieved,

It seems Alex and the team are unsurpassed in there training regimes and are getting the very top results from all there clients without exception. (fantastic achievement)
Thanks all for reading and i will keep you updated of my progression in another months time.
regards and hope your all well

What a change for the best in the weather, the sun was well and truly out before 1 set out for my walk, my body was remarkably good considering the exploits of the last few days no nasty aches and pains for a change, never broke any records but did do it in a quickish time and felt good for doing so.
Managed to get up the gym this afternoon and as i hadn't been on the weights the last 2 days so i went for that option and really pushed myself doing all the big ones squats, dead lifts, bench press, and cleans, was hard going and was drenched on completion, no pain no gain as Alex would say lol
As mentioned last week tonight's blog will be the last one, for now anyway i hope to do a monthly one just to keep all of you in the picture regards to weight loss etc, so for now a massive thank you to each and everyone of you all for supporting me as long as you have, you really have no idea how its made feel knowing so many were behind me urging me on with all the comments, And it go's without saying that without Alex, of course none of this would have been possible, so Alex your an absolute star and thank you for all the work and effort you have put in, i will never forget it. Also to my beautiful wife Tina who without i don't think could have done it, she is an absolute rock and has put up with all the stuff that i never put in the blogs and believe me there was plenty of it, love you babe xx
Thank You all and o yes forgot to mention that i lost another 1 lbs and another half inch of my waist yeahhh

What a very busy day today has been! where to start ?
Over to Warwick for the second of six self defence + course, thought at the start i was going to really struggle as just completing the warm up exercises with our mate Alex i was really tired, but very pleased to say the session seemed to get easier as it went along and i don't mean it wasn't physical enough i just seemed to get a second wind and it got me through.
Had a brief hug and a chat with Kate as i was leaving what a fantastic lady she is a complete inspiration if ever i saw one, well done on breaking your 10 stone yes that was 10 stone loss amazing.
Only home for enough time to change clothes and a quick drink pack my bag and out to do it all again.
Back over to Coventry and the AT7 centre for the last and longest of my weekend sessions and again it was fantastic and instead of getting tired and sluggish i seemed to find another gear as was more than ready for the challenge ahead.
Really is a complete pleasure to talk to so many different knowledgeable people every which way you turn there is somebody willing to assist and teach you, fantastic to say the least, nothing is to much trouble and every body seems on the same par even though there is a complete mix of all the arts and different levels of fitness as well as a complete mixture of abilities, any one watching would not know the difference all of us felt equal
A great day, a very tiring day now its over i can sit and reflect
Thanks all Gaz
